Default Hamster heaven

Help!!! I cant get the green plastic penthouse to fit onto the tubes ... The tube from it to the other tube (on the back right of the cage) just dont seem to be at the same height. Have I missed something?

Also do you thi k it would be a good cage for mice?

Got it on zooplus recently for 54.99

Do you know what the recommended bar spacing is for mice ff? I thought it needed to be less than 1cm maybe closer to 7-8mm so if the mice are small the bar spacing on the HH may be a little too big, I've never kept mice so I'm not totally sure tbh.
Can't help with the tubes as I've never used them on mine, for hams I think the cage is better without the tubes & penthouse.

I know what you mean about the bar spacing Cypher. I thought that it was much narrower than it actually is (oops). I may keep them in the barney and use the hh as their play cage.

I would not use all the plastic stuff for hamsters but I think it would suit mice.

The spacing would need to be narrow as mice can squeeze through very tight spaces. The HH would be more suitable as a playpen.

I've never had mice but I think I'd worry about the bar spacing on the HH. The Barney would probably have narrow enough gaps. I'd probably go for something like a tank to be extra safe.

The trouble with tanks is that they get a tad whiffy. Even my roborovskis smell a bit in their tank and I have never had a smelly robo before.

Oh, I suppose they would. I've actually never had a tank. Maybe you could make some sort of bin cage and ensure that it was well ventilated?

For mice maximum bar spacing is 7mm. Ideally 6mm. The only cages I know with 6mm bar spacing are the Riviera Varazze and the Skyline Leon.

The bar spacing on the Savic Mickey should be ok too, narrower than the HH.
