Buddy's House- hamster heaven
Since having Buddy, it's apparent that he's a little man who loves to climb! He will frequently cruise around the bars of his cage and clamber over the hamster heaven tubes. I've scoured the pet shops and internet in order to fill his cage with enriching climbeable toys. I'm quite pleased with the result and I think Buddy is too! Note the thickness of my fitch bedding to act as a safety mattress!

Re: Buddy's House- hamster heaven
The climbing toys are unfortunately unsafe Chains are a very serious risk of injury(especially with tiny toes getting caught and then broken or having nails ripped out)plus any open runged ladder shouldn't be used as it's a big fall risk.
However,if you could source some natural hamster safe wood you could make your own climbing toys. The ladders in the current toys could be removed completely and made solid with popsicle sticks and Elmer's glue(or homemade flour glue)but it would be even easier to just get some bendable bridges instead.

The toys look really nice! I agree with Amity though, especially about the chains - you hear of hamsters hanging by a broken leg after getting a foot caught in a chain. What you could do is replace the chains with sisal string maybe. I've also seen people fix a backing to open rung ladders to fill in the gaps.

Re: Buddy's House- hamster heaven
These open rung ladders are a nightmare, I've had them but I used bendy bridges and wooden lollipop sticks to fill gaps. I've also used seagrass toys.

Re: Buddy's House- hamster heaven
Buddy is lovely. I have a real soft spot for fluffy hamsters (as my title implies)!
Nice deep bedding, a huge wheel, a good sized cage and plenty of toys are what a good hamster lover provides. Buddy has certainly landed on his paws with you.
Hope the chain replacement goes well.
