#Goals! If I can convince husband we need an addition, I know exactly which 2 rooms could hold tanks this size. Right now, we're not so fortunate. Victorian home on the small side...all the odd angles with windows limit space for furniture...let alone tanks :/ So our babies are in 30" by 12" tanks. They seem happy but I want to give them more. Have been scouring CL for larger tanks <3

So I finally found a larger home for Yeti! I had him in a 20G long because I thought that was decent compared to the tiny cages sold in stores for hamsters. But then I read about the 450 sq in minimum and I've been really stressed about his and Buttercup's space. Buttercup is in a 29G but that's the same footprint as the 20 as her volume is in height. Currently looking for a 33G Long for her. Found one but seller hasn't gotten back to me and previous finds fell through. It's just an odd size. I called local stores and they don't carry it. A petstore on the opposite coast of the US is letting used ones go for $5 each but that doesn't help me haha But I'm determined to find one and that'll give her a footprint of 48" x 12" and will fit on the dresser. I found Yeti a 30G breeder...so 36" x 18" which puts his new digs around 650 in. He is sleeping now but he was so happy when I moved him over. Eventually, I'd like to get both into Detolfs but we need to reno attic first so that we can have more storage and move existing furniture around in bedrooms. It's an old house with very little closet space. I need to add more bedding for digging but figured I'd wait to see which corners Yeti decides are for burrowing or eliminating. I also plan to get more toys...already have some in my Amazon cart but want to check out toy threads on here first. And i still need to upgrade his sand pit to something a little larger now that he has more space. Hoping the 33G Long comes through for Buttercup so keep fingers crossed! In the meantime, here is Yeti's new space. ..

I love this setup. You've created a very stimulating environment in a relatively compact space.

I'm loving checking out these setups. I want to reply to so many posts but don't want to spam this thread too hard.

Here is what was formerly referred to as Hamsterdam. My ham passed away about a year ago. I honestly signed up on this forum to sell my gear, but after looking through these forums I don't think I'm going to sell anymore because I think I may want another ham.
