Here you go Photo Guide to Making a Bin Cage

Which bin are you thinking of getting? A large enough bin would be fine for a pair of dwarf hams, do be prepared for separation if you do decide to get a pair though, most fall out as they mature & need to be separated into their own cages so it might be a good idea to make two bin cages just in case.

Contrary to the common idea that big is always best, some people have had more success in keeping pairs in smaller cages as there is less space for them to fight over. However you will need to make sure that the cage is big enough to allow them to have a nest area each to retreat to if they need it. I found my pair snuggled up together most of the time but occasionally the less dominant one would have to sleep outside.

With pairs, I've found it better to provide one large pile of food on the substrate rather than food bowls which can cause squabbling as each tries to claim ownership of them.

What species of dwarf will you be getting?

Yes i have heard that to ill pribably be making and 80 by 50 with no levels because with my last pair they were in a hamster heaven. They had ro be split up a while back. I am hoping to get two female ww hamsters at the lymm show at the weekend they will be in a slightly smaller temporary cage until they are around 4 months and until i have the correct tools to make the bin. Btw the smaller cage is 65 by 30
