Robin just wants to get out of his cage
I had Robin in the multy duna maxi which previously held my long haired white syrian male, Woodstock (rip).
It is a reasonable size for a syrian (100 x 50cm) but all he does is search enthusiastically for a way out.
The other night he started to gnaw at the water bottle hole so i blocked it up. Tonight he is gnawing frantically at the end where the clip fits so i have temporarily moved him into my bedroom (out of sight and smell of my female syrian Kashi).
He is now in the grosvenor which housed my !ovly rovorovski Flower (rip). It is a bit small but will have to do until i can sort some kind of diy option!!!
He is now spider hamming his way round looking for a way out.
Anyone want a hyper orange hamster???

Lol! He sounds like he would enjoy something like the Barney cage. You have a Borneo cage don't you? I'm guessing it has a hamster in it already

Re: Robin just wants to get out of his cage
Hi Serendipity yes I have the lovely borneo cage complete with happy occupant Arun.
I have two barneys, Kashi's and Gopal's. I also have the alaska which Fairy lives in and a spare cage like the barney but with a lower roof. Typical that the only empty cages are for small hamsters!
I wasnt really intending to get another hamster when I saw Robin on gumtree (I know shouldnt look at those sites) but just had to adopt him!
I actually prefer barred cages esp in this hot muggy weather. Was hoping not to have to buy any more but ... looks like I may have to if I cant get my diy skills in gear.
We will see. I am always keen to have diy cages but not so keen to make them!

Oh dear ff, sounds like Robin is being a handful lol. Hope you manage to find something he likes I have a nice savic plaza here that I got for Boris as I thought he would appreciate more space but he doesn't seem to like it and is still in his grosvenor! Shame we live so far apart as I could have lent it to you for Robin lol.

Re: Robin just wants to get out of his cage
I had a feeling this little guy was going to keep your hands full
An upgrade might do him some good, and give you peace of mind. The alexander is a really nice cage if you were willing to purchase it
