Is This Chew Toy Safe?
I've recently purchased some new Boredom Breaker chew toys from Pumpkin from a local pets store. At the time of purchasing I didn't realise that one of the chews was made from lemongrass - as there was no mention of lemongrass on the label except from above the barcode - "Lemongrass Comet" which I didn't notice until I got home (this picture shows this). So I contact Rosewood and they did confirm the product is made from lemongrass however it is made from the dried leaves and not the aromatic base stems - therefore doesn't smell of lemongrass. Which I can confirm it doesn't smell like lemongrass at all but smell more like hay.
So now I'm even more confused whether this chew toy is safe or not for Pumpkin to chew on?
So does anyone know whether dried lemongrass leaves are safe? or should I just return the product?
Here is a picture of the chew toy:

Re: Is This Chew Toy Safe?
I wouldn't risk it SKB, I've read various conflicting things about lemon grass but nothing conclusive either way so probably better to err on the side of safety & not use it.

Re: Is This Chew Toy Safe?
Thank you cypher, I won't be using this chew toy and will be returning it. I know what you mean about all the conflicting information surrounding lemongrass and there wasn't much information about hamsters and lemongrass - so thought it would be best to ask here. I don't think its worth taking the risk especially if I'm not completely sure it is safe for Pumpkin to chew on.
