Alexander cage is finally here and set up!!!
...I'm a little bit excited if you couldn't tell.
Alexander cage that I ordered got here a few days ago and had to wait for the plastikote on the levels to dry but today I set it all up and my baby moved in.
So happy with it. It's HUGE!
The silent runner is also new(if you're thinking about getting a silent runner, do it's sooo quiet!!!)
The cage is great. Room for a 12 inch wheel (a lot of cages I've found are too short for a Syrian sized wheel) and a 12 inch flying saucer with loads of space for more toys. Levels were really annoying to get in but other than that, such a great cage.
Here's here first set up

Re: Alexander cage is finally here and set up!!!
It looks lovely. I've always wanted one of those Karlie Wonderland Bridge things Nice to see a Silent runner in an Alexander. I always wondered if it would fit in one if screwed to the back bars (making it sit a bit higher) - how much space is there between the top of the wheel and the part where the cage curves in please? Also if the wheel was as high as it would go, would the bolt be able to fit through the bars, or would it be at the level of the base?
Lucky hammy. And a wheel and a saucer as well! I would suggest adding more substrate They love lots of substrate and it helps cushion falls.

Just measured and there's about 7 cm of space between the wheel and where it starts to curve. I just have it on the stand but I imagine the bolt would go through fine. Might bend the bars a little but would still fit.
