Default Travel cage

Hello
Just wondered I'm off on holiday for 2 weeks and hamster is travelling to stay with family
Now she has a huge zoo zone 2 that I can only fit in my car tipped on its side empty as it did get a bash when I bought it home
Would it be better to get my hammy a travel cage for her for two weeks or take everything out then transport it and her in her carry case?

It's really so much easier to get a travel cage in my opinion. It's tough lugging around a big cage and finding a good spot for it in someone else's home. It also leaves more at risk for damage during the car trip which you definitely don't want! I've always used a 10 gallon tank or similar sized bin as a travel cage. Though it's insanely small, it'll work for the time you're away. Just make sure to fill it with all of your hamster's bedding and old toys (as many as you can fit) and you'll be okay

I would talk to the family she's staying with. If they can accommodate her current cage, I think it would be much less stressful for her - since hamsters are prone to getting stressed and getting stress related health issues, I think that'd be the smartest thing.
