Critternation/savic royal suite 95 for syrian?
Hey guys! Would a critter nation double with 12.7mm bar spacing or a savic royal suite with 13mm bar spacing be okay for my syrian? (Dont worry i know how to prevent falls with extra shelving and im making a boarder for to allow deep bedding) therefore, im just wondering if the bar spacing would be okay?
* i dont want a cage such as a barney or alaska etc, shes in a bigger cage than that at the moment but i find its still too small after placing her 12" wheel and all her other rat sized toys and houses. I also find a detolf too narrow and other tanks too complicated to clean as they would be too high on a desk

It really isn't a good idea.Levels aren't expanding a cage,at least not in terms of actual floor space, and they're certainly not appropriate for natural behavior(hamsters are terrestrial animals unlike rats and other animals).
However, the same cages mentioned could be split if you made an extra base somehow for one part and then added your own wheels to the bottom while also removing a panel between(zip ties between for security). That would be the only way for it to be suitable, otherwise a DIY cage(such as a bin setup, four unit Lack, etc with a square meter or more of floor space)would be much better.

I'm not totally sure of the max bar spacing for syrians tbh nor am I totally certain if this is the same cage but Teddy has one that looks similar, scroll down a bit to see it here, if it is the same it worked out fine for her.

I havent really got the space for it to be big in width (depth?) As itll prevent me.opening my door and cant find anything really suitable in length for her& i figured two 95cm cages (which is what those cages provided) would be better than her 100cm mamble cage as she could have two main floors for her stuff so its not as crowded on one floor& extra shelves just give extra bit of room for soke extra stuff such as extra houses etc

It wouldn't be the width changing,it would be the length. It stays the same width though which is fine.
It wouldn't be better,it would be equal. It isn't any different in floor space, and as mentioned levels do not count.

Re: Critternation/savic royal suite 95 for syrian?
Have you seen these cages? Available from Amazon.de.
Two 95cm cages
Sky Rat 100
120cm cage with 7mm bar spacing and big front opening door
https://www.amazon.de/Skyline-2983-G...peedy+gonzales
The first one isn't quite two 95cm cages as you'd lose some floorspace on top for the access route/ladder. The second one would need extra shelves or setting up carefully as it's 57cm tall.
Also for the cost of a Savic Royal Suite 95 you could have a good custom tank made. I was quoted about £215 for a 100cm by 60cm tank that was 80cm tall with front opening doors in the top 40cm so the bottom 40cm was all for substrate, plus a wood and mesh lid and a glass shelf along the back. From Custom Aquaria. They will make it any size you want and advise on things like front opening doors and built in shelves.

The tank would be smaller than the double(horizontally connected)version though, and it would be much harder to move. The Royal Suite or Royal Suite XL horizontally connected(same width, double length, needs minimal modification for half the cage)would be the best choice
