Sophresh Aspen and Paper bedding? (Beginer)

Hello guys! This is my first time ever raising hamsters, I have two young dwarfs. Sadly my country isn't too deep into small pets (yet) and finding products ain't easy.

Anyway, regards bedding... I had been using Sophresh Paper (pic 2) bc it's the cheapest brand, but this time I decided to buy Aspen shavings. But later on I found some reviews online saying Sophresh Aspen ain't the best, it can be dusty and with ''chips too large'', or even be Pine sold as Aspen. But over here Sophresh is the only brand that sells ''Aspen'' (as the package says) cause others say Pine.

Has someone tried Sophresh's Aspen bedding before? any recommendations? shall I use it or not? maybe do half the cage with Aspen and half Paper? should I trim down the big chips into smaller ones? smaller ones are better or...? I apologize for the long text. I appreciate any help or comment.

It's difficult to say for sure not knowing a product or having tried it but the aspen does look quite chunky, as long as the paper based one is just paper with nothing added & isn't too dusty I'd stick with that, it looks a bit like carefresh which is often used here.

I'm not sure if yours is different than the kind in the US, but if it isn't, then it's unfortunately not safe As a rule, I'd generally avoid sophresh beddings as they tend to add anti-stench chemicals and unsafe things like baking soda. However, it does say fragarance free so it's possible it doesn't contain them! I would check to see what the bedding contains and if it's simply paper/wood pulp, then you're safe to go
