Default Multi level cages and jumping

I have bought a three tier cage for our new Syrian hamster and already she has been doing daredevil jumps from one level to the one below. This looks very risky for such a small hamster but she seems to enjoy it!

Is this sort of cage safe or should I think about something all on one level.

Many hamsters do live happily in these cages and do tend to bungee jump!
The shelves should overlap so that she can only jump a small distance and not top to bottom. It is all new to her and she will likely soon calm down and use the levels as she should! If she is jumping top to bottom you may want to remove the top level till she settles then re -introduce it. Make sure there is a nice deep layer of bedding in the bottom and postion toys and bowls so she cannot fall on to them.

We have a cambridge and our hamster still monkeybars to the middle and drops down through the gap to the bottom. We put in loads of shavings at the bottom but on the first day of cleaning she moves all the furniture around and puts the bedding into one corner. So she always lands on the plastic bottom
