Hammocks and fabric things are much better suited to other small pets,such as rats and ferrets

In general hamsters will chew just about anything you put in their cage,which also applies to modular additions like this.It really isn't a good idea to use any fabric items for this reason,as there is no digestible fabric therefore it should not be used in a cage with animals that are going to chew(such as hamsters and gerbils).

Arun (cream fluffy syrian) has about five hammocks in his cage. He has never chewed any of them.

Kashi (smooth chocolate syrian) would destroy anything fabric within seconds!

She isnt very interested in it at all, to play with or chew. Ive seen her jump in it and then out again twice since wednesday. If i see signs of chewing I'll remove it.

Amity hammocks are very much an individual thing so while supervision is needed to see how your ham reacts many are fine with them, enjoy them & don't chew them.
