Walmart is definitely worth checking for hamster supplies!Since stock varies from store to store, that can be something to keep in mind as well.My local Walmart has barely anything in comparison to a Walmart a bit further away, which has a small amount of Vitakraft products and the overall pet section is much larger at no less than 4 aisles(not counting a back section behind said aisles)compared to a disappointing 2 aisles.

We do have Supreme products in the US,but usually pet stores only carry the food and treats however I wasn't aware that Walmart would even carry even one Supreme product! They tend to go by Tiny Friends Farm in the US though at least in Petco, and while not all products are safe Supreme in general does have some really nice things.

I always just buy the huge bag of childrens sand for $10 and then wash and sterilize it! As much as I could ever use.

I wouldn't pay $10 for play sand anywhere, considering you can get it for just under $5 at Home Depot whether you choose the regular or "natural" kind!

I bought some Super Pet Critter Bath Powder at Petsmart. They have it in-store and online. It is $4.49 for 14 ounces. Is this okay to use? I am currently just gathering supplies before getting our Winter White.

Any sort of dust or powder cannot be used for the majority of small pets, including hamsters. It would cause serious respiratory issues

Good to know, I haven't looked in the box yet and I assumed it would be more like sand. Back to the store it goes. Thank you!

I would have a look before taking it back. In the U.K. Some of the sand is called bathing dust or chinchilla dust, but it is actually sand.

Yours could be the same.
