Play Pens
Hi again!
As I've said before my little hammy Aspen doesn't like to run on his wheel as much as he likes to run in the open. It's a little stressful watching him and making sure he doesnt get under anything or chew any wires. I have rooms that are semi-hamster proof, but I still have to be careful. I think, honestly, it will be easier to just make an enclosure. I'm thinking of using cardboard but I don't know how durable that would be. I'm open to any suggestions you have

Re: Play Pens
Cardboard would work, but it isn't necessarily going to be a permanent playpen. However,it will work as intended and is easy to replace!

Re: Play Pens
Cardboard is fine as long as it's high enough to prevent escapes, not exactly durable but easily replaced when needed, you would have to supervise closely though as a ham could chew it's way out in next to no time!
Sheets of correx plastic make a sturdier play pen, I just cut it to the size I want & cable tie at each corner so it folds flat when not in use.
There are quite a lot of ideas for play pens if you do a form search.

Re: Play Pens
I made a playpen using this thread.
Stylish playpen
It's nice and tall, and folds for storage. I'd echo Cypher's advice to always watch hams even if using a non-cardboard pen - hams are sneaky at escaping!
