Default New Bin Cage

Finally made the new bin cage today.
Im paranoid about the ventilation as its my first cage that's almost fully enclosed so ill probably drill more holes although it has two 12x9 inch mesh holes and a 9x6 inch one.

Hello!

Absolutely LOVING your bin cage, it looks amazing! I think there's definitely enough ventilation there personally! Shiitake is so cute!

What a smart little bin cage with such a cute hamster in it I think you do need more ventilation, drilling holes isn't enough if your adding to it. You could attach more mesh to the front or back

Thanks.
Sadly Im all out of mesh and its super expensive to buy here just cant afford it. Ill use a larger drill bit and add a lot of holes on the lid where theres the space. That should be all good then

That's a really nice bin cage and a good size too. Shiitake is very sweet. You could probably mesh the front and back as well to give more ventilation as the others have said. For mesh do you have a store called screw fix in the south? I plan to make a bin cage myself soon and will be getting 6mm galvanized wire mesh from screw fix. It is expensive but you get 10 sheets so no rolling out wire which is fiddly and in the long run could make quite a few bins for more hams £29.99 for the wire which I guess is ok. The sheets are fairly big. Hope this is of help. Also how did you manage to cut your bin successfully?

Here is some cheap wire mesh

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Apollo-Hand...ords=Wire+Mesh

https://www.amazon.co.uk/2-8x2-8-inc...ords=Wire+Mesh
YOU WOULD NEED TO GET SEVERAL OF THESE AS THEY ARE 2.3" BY 2.3"
