Re: Savic Hamster Plaza cage
It is a bit expensive - but then Savice cages tend to be. Skyline ones are cheaper but have flimsier bases generally The Savic bars are pretty good and strong usually too. But I agree - shame it is so expensive. Only £20 more than the Alexander though - if you think of it that way. It's also a knockdown cage so can be stored flat. Still £20 is a lot to pay for a large front opening door and it needs more shelves.

Re: Savic Hamster Plaza cage
A full level might work to reduce height/fall risk. If the level was positioned about half way up the cage access to the level and base could be achieved through the large front door.

Re: Savic Hamster Plaza cage
Cages world seems to be the only mainstream stockist and they show unavailable at the moment, but I found it on this German site and it's cheaper too! 89 euros which converts to approximately £76 at today's exchange rate. Although not sure if they ship to the uk or what shipping costs would be.

Savic also have an instruction video on youtube

Unfortunately I don't think I'll be getting one as we have mouse issues again where we've moved so I still need 7mm bar spacing!

Re: Savic Hamster Plaza cage
I'd say go for it - but then it's not my credit card . The main attraction is the front door though and the fact that it's nice and spacious for a hamster.

Re: Savic Hamster Plaza cage
Haha like your advice there Chesca however since posting I have moved lovely Robin into this cage
Mause & Hamsterkafig elmo xxl
He is delighted with the space and has been exploring. Got his same old bed wheel branch sand and substrate so hopefully having 300 moves since being here will be ok for him.

Re: Savic Hamster Plaza cage
Yes. He has been busy looking round it and checking out his bed and stashes that I carefully moved with him.
I am not sure if his new sikent runner will fit. Hope so as it is just the wheel for him. He has soooo much energy.
He is so pretty and unflustered. Quite a little wonderham.
It is a great cage nice and low so not so far to fall with all his spider hamming. Going to set up sputniks and tubes over the next few days.

Re: Savic Hamster Plaza cage
I don't think the 12" one will fit as the cage is about the same height as the Maxi Duna I seem to remember (35 or 36cm tall?) The wheel on its stand is 35cm tall. I suppose it might just fit if the interior height is just over 35cm! Hope it does!
