I decided to redo my Syrians cage last night, and I think I've finally managed to do a set up that I'm actually happy with for once haha. I find Syrians the hardest to set up, so I'm actually kind of proud of how this one turned out - and Keiko (my 16 month old longhaired syrian) is loving it too, so I take that as a sign that I did something right!

Anyways, without further adieu, here's his set up. It's 240cm x 60cm x 60cm (apologies for size of images, they're quick phone snaps):

I've never had any issues with leaves or branches poking eyes, and I've used them in my set ups for around 3 or so years now. He actually loves gathering the leaves for his nest, and the hazelnut branches make awesome chew toys. They're never a concern for me.

I've never had a problem with leaves, branches or twigs before either, I was a bit worried when I first used things like that but they're fine & the hams do seem to enjoy that kind of enrichment.
