Ooh I really like that set-up Jasmine! I'm assuming you have a Robo to have the bars meshed, as the spacing already looks quite small to me?

Thank you Yes, I have a robo.
The bar spacing is small, the cage is suitable for mice, bar spacing is 0.8mm so she shouldn't be able to escape, however being the worrier I am and wanting to be super careful, I (or rather my father) meshed the bars, it's the Fort Knox of hamster cages lol!
She uses the mesh as something to climb so it has its uses

Willow's home looks good Freyashamsters, I do love to see lots of Fitch! She must really enjoy that

Charlie's cage is looking nice with the small adjustments Serendipity, looks very cosy & comfortable as well as still being fun!

Love all the colours in Swift's cage Jasmine, even if you don't see too much of her just yet I'm sure she's out & about having loads of fun all night long, I can just imagine her climbing that mesh!
Lots of nice places to hideout downstairs too.

Whisper's Fuzzbutt den (AKA Alaska) hasn't changed much for a while now other than the addition of her snooze cube & the fact that it's looking remarkably tidy for a change!

Zeki's HH has had a few little changes, still sadly hammockless but he seems to really like it this way.

His favourite corner! He hides all his special things in the tube & often emerges from the back of his house, along the back of his cage & out through the tube, the tube has a hole in the side which lines up with the one of the holes in the coconut & then into the side hole of his snoozecube so he has a nice little runway there.

Another little tube with the hole leading to the front door of his house.
He did have a corner crush in this corner but wasn't using it much although he seems to love the other one so this is the experimental corner at the moment!
He likes his little corners & there are some good places to hide his food away there, not that it takes him long to find it.

Zeki's and Willow's cages are looking amazing So many hidey places and things to do. Actually I really like how the Silent runner wheel matches the house underneath! Great bit of colour co-ordination there! Aha - just spotted Willow on the top pick.

Thanks Serendipity, I was quite pleased the wheels matched too
I think you've been fooled by a pile of tissue with two little holes that look like eyes in the hammock lol! I thought it was Whisp at first too

I love all the snuggly things in your cage Cypher! I've always been reluctant to put hammocks e.t.c in because I worry about them getting chewed, have you found that's not a problem?

It can be an issue littlemiss. I tried our Syrian with one when we got him and had to take it out again because he was trying to chew at it and pull the bits of fleece off - so I got a sputnik and lined it with a hemp mat as well. I have put the Fuzzbutts cube in his cage now after testing him out with it - it seems he is too old to bother chewing it now lol! I think Chinese hamsters are a bit different too.

Syrians don't really need hammocks and there are plenty of other toys, tubes and sputnik hammocks for them

I think it depends on the individual ham as much as the species though Chineseys do seem to be the least likely to chew & love their cosy hideouts the most!
With any ham it's best to try them with things like that out of the cage first & if they seem ok it may be worth a try but they still need watching for a while to be sure.
I have used a snoozecube with a Russian ham too with no problem but one of my other Russians always had to attack anything new before she'd accept it so I never took the chance with her!
