Re: Let's See Your Cages (May 2016)
Kiki your DIY cage looks amazing, this is a such a good idea if you've limited space. I really like how you've set up your cages they look so nice and look fairly spacious you have 2 lucky hamsters. I really like Ari's house.

Thanks SKB! I am limited on space right now, but these enclosures are well above the suggested minimum. Butters has about the same space as he did before, but it is a vast improvement in space for Ari!
Ari's house is a Twilight Chinchillas original! I also had several pieces made for Butters, but they are huge & don't fit well in the cage together. I'll have to have a different set made for him eventually

I'm also limited for space at the moment trying to come up with a way to get a bigger cage in the space I have available that won't cost a fortune
I'm really jealous of your Twilight Chinchilla items, I really want some. Is it a castle? Is it one item or is it made up with multiple pieces of furniture?

The Twilight Chinchilla's furniture is a castle, "Cute As A Button" castle to be exact lol
It is made up of 3 pieces that can be used together or can be separated and used individually. I wanted something that Ari could easily run across and this is what the owner and I came up with. Everything I have ordered from her has been custom made.

That castle furniture is definitely as cute as a button. Ari is so lucky. It's such a good idea to be able to connect them together.

Re: Let's See Your Cages (May 2016)
I love the way all the Twilight Chinchillas things turn out and the attention to detail and even just the fact that you can get custom things!
For people with multiple hamsters, stacking cages are a great idea as it does save space. For example if you had two stacking 100 x 50 cages it's taking up way less space than two Detolf's just separate which makes it easier for people to have really nice cage sizes without having to take up quite as much space!

Christine, the owner of Twilight Chinchillas, really puts her all in to each and every piece she makes! She is amazingly talented and really listens to what each customer is looking for.
These are Ari's pieces:
These are Butters' pieces:

Re: Let's See Your Cages (May 2016)
I'm wondering if my Jessie would like something like that as she loves to climb as well as having to have lots of nice places to put all her stashes of food.
It's a shame there's not something like in that's UK based.

Granted, she's only had the castle for a day, but Ari does like climbing all over it! And she has all those gray places to nest, but where does she choose to nest... behind her wheel!
I know that Hop, Nibble, Squeak used to make wonderful pieces, but I don't think she's open any longer.
