Your set up is lovely Whisky. I really like your Twilight Chinchilla Furniture, they are amazing and the night sky (fireflies) looks really good. I'm jealous of you having Twilight Chinchilla furniture! Also you get tank cages really affordable over in Canada (and the US) it's so expensive over here in the UK.
But both Koosh and Tinker look adorable and it looks like they enjoy their cages as well as their Twilight Chinchilla Furniture. I really like window nest that's is too cute.
I would recommend cardboard boxes as hamster toys I use them a lot for houses, toilets, tunnels, shelves, you can use different sizes, shapes and cut holes in them.

Ooh that furniture is so lovely! Also love that you can watch him snoozing up against the glass, adorable.

I didn't realize tanks were expensive in the UK! Fair enough, I feel a little better, lol!

That's a good point about switching up the furniture. I read that it was a good idea to do that to keep things interesting, but I could tell Koosh disliked it, so mostly what I do now is just swap one piece of furniture at a time for another. Then I was worried Tinker might be getting bored... glad to know he's probably happier with the same layout.

I definitely stole the window nest idea, I think from a German owner. It's so cute! It's definitely provided me with some of my favourite shots of Koosh!

Smushy sleepy Koosh! (I used to have my guys on aspen bedding)

My personal favourite:

Tinker doesn't use the window nest as much, but he's given me some cute shots too!

ETA: I forgot to add, Twilight Chinchillas ships to the UK! I would totally recommend them, my houses turned out so nice and they were totally customizable. I think they'll be taking orders again in the fall, if anyone is interested.

I felt like sharing my accommodation with you.

Firstly we have Dudes home (Syrian).

Its changed a bit since having this picture taken. He's now got a 26cm wooden wheel & he doesn't have hanging toys anymore because of his OAP joints.

Crash's home (Russian Dwarf). I hardly see him since giving him this place. He loes it so much he never wants to willingly come out.

No pictures of Snowballs home sadly

This is my hamsters' current enclosures. It's a TV armoire that I hacked into a hammy condo. Ari, my dwarf is on top and Butters, my Syrian lives in the bottom enclosure. There is storage in the baskets & drawers at the bottom of the armoire.

Thanks freyashamsters! The internal measurements are 36.75" x 18.5" (93 cm x 47 cm), so it has a total of 679.8 square inches. Certainly not the largest of enclosures, but I am limited on space (have a small house) and limited on where I can keep the hamsters. Wish I had the space for Detolfs, but not at this point! So...mine will have to do

Lol had to do a bit of conversion there! Even though it's not the largest you can find, it still has lots of space that I see you are using very wisely I don't have space for a Detolf either but Willow is more than satisfied in her 100x50cm cage
