4 oz is a very good size though, regardless.I'd be more concerned over running out of water than I would be about wasting it.Plus, the 4 oz bell bottles come with a guard that prevents chewing if you for some reason must have the bottle inside the cage!

Upon further research the smaller ones are not as good.Firstly, the spout itself is more vertical. That is not ideal and is certainly very uncomfortable for hamster necks,It would be harder to attach as well,as it comes with suction cups that could be dangerous if they fell into the cage and you'd have to spend even more on an additional bottle guard. It is much easier to just buy the bell shaped bottle with guard instead as then all you need to do is attach it with industrial strength velcro.

Oh, I wish that Pizca's bottle were more little! I have the living world made of glas, and, as I change the water everyday and the bottle is big, I can't notice if she is drinking too much or not drinking at all. I think the oasis bottle is cute, and the bottle holder a great idea for a tank

I think 4 oz is a pretty good size overall, and you can get a huge variety of colors for the Oasis bell bottles off of Amazon and they all come with holders!

I got cheap velcro from either the 99p shop or poundland (can't remember which but they are prtty much the same lol) and it works fine. The bottle has only falken off twice, but one was my fault for knocking it when I was by the cage. Not sure hat happened on the first time as I noticed it when I got back 0, but I may well have knocked it before going out. But work quite well

Much easier to do velcro when you have a real hanger too, just something to think about

Do you have a holder to stick the velcro to or is it just in the bottle? Thanks for all the suggestions xx

I think either will work. (With a holder or without)

With is much less awkward to work with, and that way you can change out bottles as well a lot easier versus having to put it back on the velcro every single time or readjusting suction cups every single time. The Oasis 4 oz bell bottles come with a holder though so you might as well just get one of those if possible as they are much easier to work with.

No holder. One bit of velcro on the outside of the platic cage, and one bit on the bottle. If the bottle was on the inside it might be good to cut it into thin strips so it's not accessible for hammy to chew! I stuck it on the bottle first, then attatched the second piece to it and then took off the paper bit that covers the sticky part and stuck it to the cage, so it would be in the same place!

It would be a lot easier to just get a bottle with a holder off of Amazon, that way you're not fumbling around with the round shape and how awkward it may be.
