Re: Wheel vs Saucer?
Wouldn't a 9 be to big for dwarf?

Re: Wheel vs Saucer?
9 would have around 4.5 inner running diameter so no,it would actually be just right for most dwarf hamsters that are larger.

Re: Wheel vs Saucer?
Right, both Silent Runner & Wodent Wheels are very light and easy for a dwarf to move.
If your buying for a robo I'd get a Wodent Wheel
Hybrids definitely get the Silent Runner you won't regret it, it gives my hammies hours of hammie happiness

Re: Wheel vs Saucer?
Personally I don't like the FS. I don't like that a hamster could be flung off of if if they suddenly stopped running. They also take up a lot of floor space (especially the larger one for Syrians) I prefer the Silent Spinners and the Wodent Wheels, although I've heard that the Silent Runner is an even safer alternative to both

Re: Wheel vs Saucer?
Yes,I'd definitely advise against a flying saucer as a main wheel. It isn't going to allow a natural running position,it takes up way more room in the age,it costs just as much as a Comfort Wheel would at least in the US,and can cause side arching which is not comfortable.Comfort Wheels,Silent Runners,Silent Spinners,Wodent Wheels, and other standing wheels that are properly sized are much better for hamsters as long as you get the right size(diameter should be twice their length or longer).

I'm sure she'll love it They spin really well and are quite light so easy for them to run in. I have the 12" one for our Syrian - you can get bar attachments for them (separately). Ours is attached to the bars and it's really sturdy - two big metal square plates with a screw through the middle so it doesn't bend the bars. If it doesn't come assembled, you need to make sure the front and back pieces are well pressed on and there is no gap either side of the joining strip.
