Re: wheel for robo's
Hiya
because Robos are so small, most wheels are ok for them, as long as they do not have spaces or gaps on the running surface.
Silent Spinners are very good for Robos, and to be honest, robos will fly out of any wheel as they run supe fast on any wheel!!
Just make sure you have two of them if you have two hamsters Som people do not like the mini silent spinners as two robos cannot run at the same time, but i have not found it to cause any problems as long as there are two of them in them in the cage - or you could try the nxt size up if you prefer

Re: wheel for robo's
thats what i thought too tammy. i will probably stick with wheel, i imagine the saucers to be bigger or atleast need more space and my cage/tank is only 24x15x12. i am hoping this will be big enough for 2 of everything.

Re: wheel for robo's
Robos are speedy little things so like others have said they'll most likely slip out in any wheel.
Silent spinners are brilliant wheels, My little syrian Chomp currently has a regular and will be upgrading to a larger Rolly wheel sometime soon when he outgrows his current one.
I'd say go for a SS for your robos, they look good and are great for your little ones plus they don't break the bank and you can pick them up at plenty of different pet stores.

Re: wheel for robo's
i have ordered 2 mini silent spinners from my local petshop. i have bought new wood to make chin shelves for so at the same time i am hoping my hubbie will rattle out a wee shelf for the tank. i bought 2 mini food bowls, they are cute, lol, even for food bowls.

Re: wheel for robo's
i seem to be too late, but just for anyone else reading, it's the mini ones that robos fly out of in my experience. I've not had a robo fly out of a regular SS, plus they prefer them and if they choose, they can run with 2 in one wheel

Re: wheel for robo's
A bit late but I wouldn't recommend flying saucer wheels for hamsters. I have them for my mice and they do take up quite a lot of room. They also require quite a bit of balance! I would go with the regular silent spinner.

Re: wheel for robo's
yike, i have just read these replies, i have ordered mini ss, oh no.............. i know they won't take them back as i have tried with previous unwanted items, yikes, not to worry, i will think of something, i might ask them to put them in the shop and sell them for me, might put them on ebay, or omething, lol. i will order regular ss, will they fit in a tank (24x12x15)? i do not know how big they are. i don't have the wee hammies yet so i am in no rush, just kitting out the tank with the correct thing before i get them.
