I know these look rather funky matt but the really are not suitable. They are a nightmare to clean, hamsters find them easy to escape from, they allow no proper excercise and access for taming a new hamster is terrible. They jam themselves in tubes and this is very unhealthy. They are also quite expensive for what you get. Have a look on the cage reviews section and see what you fancy and ask any questions. Of the easily available cages I would suggest either an Imac fantasy or a Savic Cambridge or Hamster heaven. The first two would cost about the same as that Rotastac.

As I said for a syrian and easily available The Savic Cambridge or Hamster Heaven (Pets @ Home stock these) or online the Imac fantasy.

Do you think Robo's or russian dwarfs could live in it as long as i give them ladders for the vertical tubes?

Dwarf hamsters seem to tend to fight over the individual spaces in such cages, although a single hammy may be ok on it's own. TBH, these kinds of cages aren't good for the hamsters, more "entertainment" for the owner.

they'd struggle with anything other than a virtually horizontal tube and as mentioned already, multiple dwarfs would fight over the modules of the cage. Unfortunately this is one of those cages that costs a lot of money but is virtually useless
Actually, i'll just add that it might be ok for a Chinese. They can climb imac fantasy tubes where other dwarfs can't.

Thanks about the info on the Chinese hamsters.
Do you know how many Chinese can live together allright, because i have heard that they dont enjoy company like other dwarfs, but my girlfriend has 2 males and they are happy?

i had a rotostak when they first came out yearsssss ago, i have to say it was such a pain in the **** to clean, and got really smelly in the summer i also missed watching my hammy climbing the bars, that to me is more fun to watch than them getting stuck in tubes
