Default playhouse and cabin leif from zooplus

What a disappointment its tiny for syrians!!!

Playhouse and Cabin Leif: Great Deals on Small Pet Cabins at Zooplus

I bought two thinking that it would be great to have a removable lid for each of my syrians. Oh well. Guess that Flower and Fairy (roborovskis) will have something in their play box if I ever manage to get them into one. They still vanish when I try to get my hand in the cage.

Any links for removable lid houses which are LARGE please?!

Check out Hubble's thread. I am pretty sure Jen bought him a good one with removable roof not long ago and is very pleased with it.
Otherwise Serendipity will give you links to the Guinea pig sized ones. I have a 2 storey one from zooplus ( Guinea pig size) but would now go for one with a removable roof.

I had a look at Hubble's thread to make sure I was right. I really like this house and want one when I can justify it. The link is on page 39 and the pix of it after arrival are on page 40. His thread is in the Syrian section.

I have one like that but it has no bark on it or rough bits, I got mine from Rodipet for Hugo, he loves it and is really big for a syrian hamster

The best ones are the rodipet ones if you can afford it, check out the ones with the granite lids, I've used the two room one for dwarfs but it's plenty big enough for a syrian too.

The one I have is the Ferplast Sin Rabbit sized house - it is just one big space inside. It's the same dimensions as the Leif house but without the compartments - and it is quite a lot taller, so it can sit on the base of the cage, be surrounded by substrate outside the house (and I also put a couple of inches inside the house so there isn't just bare floor) so you can leave the house where it is, part buried in substrate, and just take the top off. The door is so big, that being part buried means it is still big enough (or you can scoop a bit of substrate out near the door. I got the Rabbit sized one because the potty fits inside. The guinea pig sized one is an ok house as well but not big enough for a potty too. The rodipet one Jen has is a better size than the guinea pig sized Sin house. The Ferplast one works out a bit cheaper (cheaper from Porton than Amazon). But rooms in the houses, like the Rodipet one, are a good idea too - but Charlie is a big hamster and I thought the height of the Rodipet ones would be a bit low for him.

Update. I gave Woodstock and Gopal (syrians) a leif cabin each. Woodstock had a good old look round, moved in briefly but has gone back to his wicker tunnel!

Gopal ignored his for a few days then moved in. So not too small after all. My bad. I would like to get them a sin bedroom each and let the teeny whizzers (Flower and Fairy, roborovskis) have the leif cabins.

Not brave enough to make major changes to either whizzers cage atm though.
