Bogwood?
Hi guys.
Quick question. We've just had some nice big pieces of bogwood in on our delivery (I work in a pet shop) that are amazingly cheap, and I wondered whether they would be suitable for my hams? They say 'driftwood' above the barcode but my workmate (fish fanatic) says its definitely bogwood.
I'll be thoroughly soaking/baking it all as I'll be getting some for my fish tank anyway.
Anybody have any experience with it?

Re: Bogwood?
I bought some bogwood online, my Syrian doesn't really chew it or anything but I like it as a cage feature, she uses it as a ramp. It's perfectly safe as far as I'm aware. I'm glad you found some cheap stuff, it can get pretty expensive!

Re: Bogwood?
That's good to hear! Thanks for the reply.
Yeah I was shocked by how cheap it was! I got a small piece around 16cm long for £1.84 (£2.30 minus my staff discount). Have ordered some bigger pieces, even the 30 - 38cm long pieces are only £4.40!

Re: Bogwood?
Really?? Can I ask where???
I really resent paying like £8 for a 20cm bit!! I've actually got my bfs dad picking up bits of driftwood for me and sterilising them myself because it's so expensive to buy wooden bits online!

Re: Bogwood?
Yes, but it's rather far away! Lol. We're only a small independent pet shop in Devon, and to be honest I think the boss might have got the prices wrong! Shop is called Creature Comforts.
Its so expensive, I resent it too. I've also be known to scavenge driftwood.
