Question hammock/hanging shelf ideas

I need something to stop Glowy from falling too far when he's playing at being a monket and swinging from the top bars of the cage!

At the moment I have hung up a grass mat which is doing the job nicely, only problem is that he chews the string and the mat and it will be destroyed before very long. I've arranged it so he has a way up onto it from his shelf, then can climb off it onto his sputnik (yes on, not in, he's a pickle!).

I need something more robust, preferably wooden as he will chew it, definitely notmade of fabric, and a more chew proof way of fixing it to the bars than string, like a metal chain of some sort. It also needs to be easy to attach and re-attach frequently as it will be under the large top cage door.

Any ideas?

Aliexpress.com : Buy New 2015 Colorful Small Pet Nest Products Hamster Hammock Chinchilla Guinea Pig Pine Wood Bridge Hamster Cage Accessories from Reliable cage basket suppliers on PET HOUSE 2015 | Alibaba Group This seems to fit the requirements and is free shipping from the US, but does take 12-29 days which is quite a long time to wait! Or there's this:

Natural Grass Hammock for Pets at zooplus Which isn't made from wood but looks quite comfy and soft to land on as well as suitable for chewing?

Or this Hanging Bridge for Small Pets: Free P+P on orders £29+ at zooplus! ? You could maybe attach it to both sides of the cage and have it running along the middle? Not sure!

Have you looked at Ranch house cages on ebay? They have a few things that might work & al their stuff is really well made.
I think what you hang it with probably matters as much as what you hang, how far down does it need to hang? You can fix the pear clips to a lot of things & loop them together if you need more length.

You can get the clips for making at hammocks and loop them through I got 2 bags of them thinking they were small and they're huge, so if you have some fine looped chain it could work well x

I seem to recall one of the members on here making a hanging shelf. Basically a wooden shelf with chains coming off the 4 corners and then with those kabob wooden chews (the ones with the hole in the middle) threaded through the chains to prevent a hammy getting tangeled. Can't for the life of me find the thread though - if anyone else does please link it. It looked good and seemed to fill a space that would have been awkward to do with a regular shelf.

This is 40 cm by 15cm

40cm Log & Rope Swing Shelf Chinchilla Rat Degu GuineaPig Ferret Cage Furniture | eBay

Or you could hang this up

Natural Grass Hammock for Pets at zooplus

with these

Pear Clips - £0.24 : ratRations.com

Or just a screw in shelf from ranch house cages - all different shapes and sizes and they will screw into the bars on any side you choose - maybe two overlapping ones.

I also saw someone who had a large egg box (eg bottom half of a 10 egg box) hanging up as a kind of hammock - you could hang that up with sisal string. he might chew it, but it would break a fall and easily replaceable.
