Default Another bedding question!

Hi! Does anyone know if the early learning centres' coloured play sand is safe for hamsters? It would make the cage look more interesting but I want to make sure it is safe and not going to harm my hamsters.

No idea, I'm afraid but thought I'd bump you up as someone else might. I'd err on the side of caution though. And any children's play sand you'll need to bake and cool to sterilise it

I would err on the side of caution too. Some hamsters don't even like sand lol. It might be better to go with colourful Carefresh or something and stick to Chinchilla bathing sand.

I have looked into buying it when seeing a green version that I loved, but the only information I could find is that it is non-toxic. I couldn't find out how it was dyed or anything so I steered clear. Sorry I couldn't help more.
