The house arrived quickly, and has been plastikoted- it looks great. Its not yet in the cage; I don't want to disturb Timmy's current set-up until she is ready for a clean out anyway.

That's good news! I fancy the extra large version! At some point. Already have a big house at the moment and the extra large would be a squeeze in Charlie's current cage.

Hello,

I have had houses from R**pet as well as Getz**, but the better ones are from www.knastladen.de:
http://www.knastladen.de/Artikelausw...aus-Harry.html
http://www.knastladen.de/Artikelausw...partement.html

R**pet used to be recommended often because it was the only place you could buy appropriate supplies, but they don't have a monopoly for that anymore. Nowadays, even new and inexperienced hamster owners either build their own houses or buy from Knastladen because they're much sturdier and cheaper. R**pet and Getz** labyrinths are made from very thin wood now. They used to sell houses like this, but the ones they have now are (in my opinion) not worth the money.

If you don't live in Germany, you would have to ask if they ship to your country at all. If not, build your own - it's much better and cheaper than Getzoo or Rodipet.

It doesn't look as if they ship outside Germany, I think I prefer the layout of the Rodipet houses generally but I do like that little house/sandbath combo!
I agree making your own is a good idea but my wood work sucks lol!

Thanks Happy. They look like great houses - shame they don't ship to the Uk! That older style Rodipet house looks great - I've seen it in videos and wondered why they didn't make it any more. Rodipet's new range of labyrinth houses looks good too!
