I've been umming and arring about these for a while wondering if they would be a good idea. Now I will try them.

Definitely want to get 'Chico' one but they were £5.99 in my local pet shop, think I will have another look on eBay... although by the time I pay the P&P it will probably cost as much!

Perhaps I should shop around... he will have one!

Cool, I hope Chico likes it!!! I've put it in for Phoebe a few times now, she seems fascinated with the bell in it for about a day at a time.

Just thought! In case anyone else is looking for one, there are some more from this seller, (not bought from him before so don't know what his like) yet! but his P&P seems quite good... the item number on eBay is 7724855063 seems he only sells pets items... x

Yesterday I found a hamster sized bounce back toy in the pet shop so I got it to try out on Blossom. I put some nuts and raisins in it and she absolutely loves it. I haven't actually witnessed her attacking it yet but I checked it today and all the treats have gone.

I honestly can't image a hamster wanting to play with one personally, if I was a hamster, they would terrify me!!

I found that hamsters prefer homemade (+ cheaper) toys anyway. Like a cardboard tube with a smelly food such as cheese or a tiny drop of peanut butter and some seeds as a rattle and then stuff the ends with toilet roll so the hamster has to work out how to get to the food.

I got 5 from the local pet shop for £2.99 each and they love them - bang away at them even when they are empty usually. I put them in the playroom and it is generally the first thing my hamsters explore.
