Mine has a small amount of substrate underneath but not much & is as close to the top bars as I would like it to be, you might just do it if you had an area fenced off with no substrate at all or it might just work if you had it fixed to the bars with just a small amount of substrate underneath, not sure how tall overall the 12" is if it's on the stand.

I don't know if the Savic Micky is the same height as the HH but that's the cage Serendipity had & she managed it so maybe possible.

The 12" one is 35cm tall on the stand. It wouldn't fit inside the Savic Mickey 2XL - well it might just - as the cage is 36cm tall inside. I'd say the best wheel for the Hamster heaven could be the 27cm Wodent wheel, hung from the top of the cage (although not sure if the tubes and penthouse would get in the way).

There are a number of wheels that would fit. I had the Karlie wonderland 29cm wood wheel to start with and that is nice and quiet too. The problem at the moment with those is, zooplus has stopped selling the 29cm one for some reason, and that was the only place they were a reasonable price (they are very expensive on Amazon). They are also out of stock at zooplus in Ireland and Germany now.

The 27cm wodent wheel is another one. And the 28cm Trixie wheel will fit - that one is better floor standing.

If the Wodent Wheel squeaks often times a bit of cooking spray clears it up nicely. Just check for where the squeak takes place and spray it when disassembled.

I really like the silent spinner. Extremely quiet and you can even attach it to bin cage bars! KAYTEE

Silent spinners can be great, but make sure that your hamster's back is not arching as that can be harmful. That wheel pictured would be perfect for a dwarf but I would go larger for a Syrian. I found that after about 6 months of usage they can rattle so keep that in mind especially if they are not freestanding.

The 6" silent spinner has been the first choice for dwarf hammies for a long time - if you can get one that spins well! Not sure how old your wheel is Culprit but some people have found the newer ones a bit stiff and don't spin well. Particularly the 12" one I think.
