Hi Bertie,

I had to fiddle with mine a bit, and found that putting it near a corner for support from the vertical bars from the rear and side of the cage helped significantly. Also I tried to set the base on the highest bars and tie wrap them where the vertical/horizontal bars and the metal base all conjoined. I made sure the base was strapped to the high bars. (if that makes any sense). Also I put olive oil on the small black plastic washers on the front and back of the wheel. Hope this helps. They're great wheels.

Thanks virtual Keith! I've kind of got it fixed like yours. Problem is that the stand sticks out across the large doorway in the top of my cage, I think that's making it a bit noisy but it doesn't matter as I'm not disturbed by it. I don't want to rearrange the cage as Nibble doesn't like change lol

Does that block the top doorway then BB? The stands are quite large on the Wobust. I agree about not changing it for now. A couple of cable ties could help stop the rattle - eg if you now can't use the top door use a cable tie on that maybe. Having not actually seen a Barney, I wasn't sure if the Wobust stand would fit without blocking the top door so had planned to get this instead - although they're not cheap! About £15 and postage is £7.

Is the Trixie wheel running part (the actual wheel) a solid plastic 'bowl' construction or is there a running track with a joining strip? We cannot get Azula to stop just chewing the joining bar then the track to destruction on the wodent wheels ! We need something that is solid all round so she can't chew it!!

she is a nightmare - she has everything a hamster could want and is out every night - she is always so pleased to have her wheel back after repair. Looks like she is having a great run then by morning she has chewed it again. It is beyond repair now!!

I guess there are the Karlie wood wheels, but then you'd need to keep sanding the bits she's chewed!

I've just remembered what the Trixie wheel is like - the back and side pieces are all one pieces and the front is a separate piece that pulls off. So there's no join at the back but there is at the front.

sounds like a possibility as it is the join in the track she goes for not the entry holes!! I may risk it and order one!

Well I guess there'd be a join at the front where the front piece clips on but not quite the same as the join of the running track I think. I found it ok - a bit flimsy but ok. I didn't keep it because it's about the same depth as the wodent wheel and Charlie is so chunky I thought his fur would get rubbed off lol.
