Alaska cage
I'm looking into shipping the Alaska into my country but I'll have to use a forwarder. In order to get an estimate on the costs, I'll need the dimensions of the box it comes in and the weight.
Is there any way I could find out the above information? Should I just contact Zooplus directly?
Also, are there any other cages that you would recommend with a red or grey base? I'm trying to get the cages to match my room so they don't stick out too much.
Thanks!

Re: Alaska cage
I think you'd need to contact zooplus, I've had mine such a long time I have no idea, not sure how you'd weigh something that big! It doesn't come with a huge amount of packaging though, I know that much so the box isn't a lot bigger than the cage.

It comes flat packed right? So I'd assume I'll lose a lot of volume from the height decrease which would be nice.
Alright! I'll contact them right now. I hope it's not too late to get a reply by today :X

Re: Alaska cage
Yes, the top is folded flat so most of the size is just the base.

Thanks!
I could get the zoozone here but I don't like the idea of having to mesh. The current bins I have are just not pretty enough, haha!
If I can't get it tho, I'll just stick to my bins.
The duna multy is about 15kg (volumetric weight), I'm thinking of getting one for my dwarf hamster as well as two alaskas for the syrians.

Re: Alaska cage
I've read some reviews online and it seems that the alaska isn't as strong as I'd hoped?
Is that true?
Is the savic ruffy a good cage if i decide against the alaska?

Re: Alaska cage
The alaska isn't as strong or sturdy as some of the more expensive cages, I guess that's why it's so cheap but it doesn't just fall apart! I did manage to break the door on mine, leaning on it a bit too much when I was interacting with my ham but it was soon fixed with some cable ties & nothing else has broken & I tend to fix loads of things to the bars.
I have no experience with the savic ruffy so I couldn't say.

Re: Alaska cage
I had the Savic Ruffy for my hammy and found it a good sturdy cage - but, it doesn't fold flat at all so maybe wouldn't be so good for you for shipping...
