I've never meshed anything but basically that's it, I think you may also be able to buy mesh panels too which you could fix with cable ties so that might be worth looking for.

There's a zoozone1 here, not sure if anywhere else has them, just did a very quick google!

The link cypher has given is for Pet Planet and that`s not a bad price actually for a Zoozone 1 at £2.99p delivery for orders under £39. It`s 72cm in length as apposed to the 100cm of the Zoozone 2. The ZZ2 is a nice large roomy cage, but for a pair of robos, I fear it may be allowing them too much rope and scope to get territorial. But then again, if they are going to fall out they could do anyway even in a smaller set up. But I personally feel the costs involved for the larger ZZ2 may end up leaving you with a very large cage and a smaller cage. The ZZ1 would do the best of both. x

Thanks guys, I'll look at ordering one of those.

Before I do though, could you take a look at the video I took of the little darlings this morning. A small face off but nothing really too bad, no squeeking or anything. Should I be worried?

Thanks,

Hi Rob. It certainly doesn`t look serious, at least not to our eyes. Both robos are inspecting one another and the Mottled one seems to be the one doing most of the inspecting. He walks away from the inspection while the other robo stays where he is. They seem to have a mutual regard for one another at the moment, but I would watch this behaviour for any frequent escalations of the same or moreso, if one starts to bully orchase the other one more often than would be normal. Obviously robos go for the rear end of their subordinate opponent when things turn nasty, so continual chasing and biting the bum are signs to separate. Right now though, they seem moderate. Spot clean their cage only and try to keep their layout the same and only wash one accessory at a time to retain their habitat scent.

They are very sweet! But robos tend to be little mad caps that turn on one another at any time, so as long as you can see and hear then 24/7 you should be able to intervene if required. x

Thanks Racing!

Yeah I've noticed this already. Sometimes they are absolutely fine, others they are like in the video. I've noticed they can follow each other around nose to tail but I've not heard any noise from them or anything.

I think I will probably get the ZZ1 cage but in blue as they are both boys.

The browner of the two is called Walter and the mottled whiter one is called Jessie, Breaking Bad!

Cheers

Rob

They are so gorgeous!
It looks more like a bit of a squabble rather than just an inspection to me but still nothing too much to worry about, just keep watching them & hopefully it won't escalate into anything more than that.

Sounds good to me Rob. Just remember when your ZZ1 arrives, what I would do before you transfer both boys into it, is make sure it smells of them as much as possible. Basically, when you put everything from the cage they are currently in, into the ZZ1, just keep all the toys, bed area and wheels in the same positions they are now so that they don`t really notice too many re-arrangements. Same for the substrate and bedding. Use it all and just add a few fresh handfuls if the cage needs topping up.

I usually find some damp substrate or bedding and rub it around the new cage base sides. Sounds mad I know, but it helps to make the new cage smell familiar. Place a few little robo poos around the place too! x
