Cage with clear base?
I've seen some pics of a zoozone type cage but with a clear base aswell as a clear top, but I think it was a v old cage. Is there anything similar on the market now? To house a dwarf or robo, I thought it would add an extra fun dimension for my daughter to watch the ham (don't have the ham yet!) as she won't be able to cuddle it. No glass tho. Glass + 3 yr old = disaster in the making! Thanks. Currently considering zoozone 1 or duna multy.

Re: Cage with clear base?
I think I know which one you mean, but it's an old version of the multy if I'm right and no longer sold unless you happen to stumble across a second hand one.
Have you considered making a bin cage? Out of a storage bin, then it's easy to cut a hole to add mesh. If you get a clear one your daughter can watch the hamster

Re: Cage with clear base?
Have you considered a bin cage with a homemade mesh top? The Samla from ikea is a good size, to do the diy it'll cost less than a specifically designed cage and will fit plenty in, sorry if this isn't helpful

I think the gabber Rex used to have a clear base? Racinghamster would know. But unless you find one on ebay, I'm pretty sure they haven't made them for a while to be able to get one.

Have to agree with you there Velma! I don't like tanks much but the other reason I don't use my Kerry is because it's too heavy!

Re: Cage with clear base?
There is the Ferplast Favola that has a clear base & a wire top. But it's only 60cm long so bit on the small side but might be okay for a lone robo (mine doesn't like big spaces as he was in a small tank before I got him so he'd be fine but not all are). I think the thing I'd also worry about is ventilation with that one as it has a plastic level with a hole in the middle (for a wheel if you put it there) but I'm not sure if it's enough of an opening to let it breathe properly if you get a robo that pees in his bedding. I'd worry about a little condensation in the bottom half.
