So I was scrolling through VioVet looking for some new toys and things for my hamsters as I do haha and I thought why not have a cage theme. I have never had a theme for any of the cages and I thought I'd try it out but I don't know what to do. So if anyone could tell me some inspiration, ideas or some links that would be brilliant. Even if you give me some pictures of your own cage themes right now or ones you've had in the past just anything is helpful!

My robo likes lots of change but my Syrian doesn't so much (not saying that's a species thing, just my two) but I'd think about what your hamster likes. If they like new things, you can do a more seasonal theme that might get changed out quite often (Halloween, followed by Christmas etc). If they tend to like things as they are, go with something that can stay the same for longer so you could try all natural for example (wood, wicker etc) or bright colours inspired by sweets, that sort of thing.
It's also worth checking out pound shops and charity shops for items too. Glazed ceramic items can be safely washed so you might find something cool to use as a bowl. And I've seen some interesting tea light holders used for dwarf hideouts (but nothing they can get their paws trapped in and again ceramic so it can be washed properly). Also, you can add gel clings to the outside of your cage or use wrapping paper on the outside as a backdrop (so for example, wrapping paper with sweets or cupcakes on it & you could have brightly coloured toys in the cage, maybe some coloured Carefresh for a substrate.) hole that helps!
Hopping Hammy is definitely the go-to for cage themes lol I liked the fairy one she did and I think there's was a sweets or cupcake theme? She also did a video on how she comes up with her themes, it's pretty exactly what you seem to be asking for!
I have a Halloween thing going at the minute, it's the first one I've tried just because it's the first time I've found gel clings, decals and ceramics that fit! Christmas might be another good one, I think you need occasions where people decorate their houses to actually get things you can use.
