The Big Cage Poll
There's been a few posts recently about different cage types I thought I'd do a poll just to see what really is the most popular around here! Comment away
p.s. just for syrians for the moment, or it'd get complicated!

We go for the Gabar Rex every time! It's roomy, low down so that the ham cannot practise 'bungee jumping' , no reachable bars to chew, easy to get the ham out of and lots of space for toys! You can also fit a large wheel on the holder for bigger hams!

I clicked other as I have just started using Hagen Zoozones intended for guinea pigs. This is great for my campbells colony.
Otherwise I like Ferplast Mini Dunas.

Pophammy - do you have a picture / link of that cage? I've never heard of it.

This is the cage we use.
We bought a new cage for Bailey of this type a few weeks ago. It is called the Gabar Rex and was £24.99, pretty good for a cage this size! The only problem we had was that Bailey was too small to reach the water-bottle hole but we solved this by drilling a lower hole. It measures 68cm by 42cm by 37cm deep. It has an upper level hat is not too high so that the hammy cannot injure themselves by jumping off. You can also fit a large wheel on it.
This is the Samvic Jumbo Rolly that we are always recommending!

Ah I have seen that cage! Where do you fit the larger wheel - does it fit where the wheel that comes with it is? (the white one in the pic?)

Gabber Rex
These are the cages I use for my dwarf hamster trios and colonies. I have had Syrian hamsters in them, especially pregnant mothers. The Gabber is a great cage which I encourage dwarf hamster owners to purchase.
I use Ferplast Rainbow cages for my Syrians.
