Hamster Toilet

Hello,

I just bought a Hamster Toilet for Noodle today ^.^
I filled it up and placed it in the corner of the cage (I haven't worked out which corner he does his business in yet) and he decided to do his business right next to the toilet him self :P

Do you reckon he will start using it or should I have had it ready in the cage for the time I bought Noodle (4 days ago)? Hmm, maybe he will start to use it, you never know..

Well, I've heard that if you put the poo inside the toilet they start to associate it as where to do their business. I don't know if it works, but its worth a try.

I have heard that a little of the wet shavings in their can help too. I think they will poo anywhere and everywhere still and it'll just be for the wee as far as I know. Not sure. I guess it always takes time for them to get used to new things added.

We find some will use the potty and some wont. You can try putting some of the wet bedding in there to encourage them though they do not use the potty to poop only to wee in. It does make it easier for cleaning but some just decide it makes a nice bed!

I've noticed he has done some of his business in there which is a good sign, good job It came with a miniature scoop to scoop the poop
