Can roborovskis escape?
I have a robo in a little plastic cage attached to another one through tubes. But I wanted to buy a bigger cage (the duna fun) to attach via tubes however the only other bigger ones with tubes have wire bars. The duna fun says suitable for dwarf hamsters but I've heard that robos will escape through the tiniest gaps. However, my robo is fully grown and is a bit fat as well and I feel like he won't escape.
Has anyone ever had full grown robos escape through bars before?

Re: Can roborovskis escape?
with bars less than and upto 1 cm you should be fine with a adult robo

Re: Can roborovskis escape?
I thought it needed to be mouse spacing for dwarfs - eg no more than 7mm. But I believe Duna Funs have been used for Robos - there is a post by Kyrilliondemon that says they used them for Robos. The Duna Fun large has 7mm bar spacing according to the Ferplast site. I don't know about the bar spacing for the smaller Duna Fun, but I reckon you should go for the larger one anyway! The more space the better.

Re: Can roborovskis escape?
I think you should be ok as far as bar spacing goes for an adult, not sure about a baby, depends just how young & small!
I do agree with Serendipity though, the duna fun is small & the large is a much better size.

Re: Can roborovskis escape?
I think I will definately get another cage for him, even though he already has 2 cages but I just think it would be so nice for him if he had another cage! He will definitely have enough space if I attach the smaller duna fun to his current cages but I would still like to get the large one as it's more space in the actual cage space, rather than more space overall in all the cages (if that makes sense!) does anyone know anything about this cage: SPELOS XL METRO | Savic

I've never seen one of those but just checked your link & it's too small really.

Re: Can roborovskis escape?
It depends on how determined and smart your robo is, make sure there's plenty toys in the cage to keep him amused and happy
