sleeping in sand bath

I just bought sand bath for my hamster Marc, he likes it a lot, he gathers bedding and sleeps on the sand bath. Is it healthy? He goes jumping and crazy looking for it if I take it out of the aquarium. Should I leave the sand bath in the tank, or should I just leave it in there for a certain amount of time?

I wouldn't worry about this. As long as he is happy and warm with his bedding he may move the nest to several locations. Our hams sometimes take up residence in the potty, the wheel, in a corner or anywhere the fancy takes them. Wild hamsters would sleep in sand so leave him for now.

This is absolutely nothing to worry about at all

My Campbells all adore their sand and I think they should have access to it day and night.
