Re: Need help!
you can either buy a hamster playpen or you could get a childrens ball pit that has a bottom to it so i catches any accidents. if you get a hamster playpen or make your own you could put an old towel underneath where thehamster will be playing, i used to do this with my playpen before i got a ball pit the towel will vatch the accidents.

Re: Need help!
I hadn't thought about accidents! Charlie doesn't seem to have them when he's out (or DOES he?!!) - once a couple of poops in the bath tub but that was about it. I told other half not to touch the bath until I had cleaned it. When I came back the poops had gone. I said - I thought I said to leave the bath! He said, well there were just a couple of black things in there so I took them out. Da da da! (Dramatic music - as I thought and wondered and then asked - where did you put them? Knowing other half's hygiene is not on the same level as mine). In the end I decided not to ask, but he told me anyway - said he had flushed them down the loo - except they float lol! Still there - had to fish them out.

Tried making a playpen the other night and used mine and my boyfriends legs as well as some large boxes etc to keep the hamsters in. But one managed to escape so we put them back. When I had dwarfs when I was younger I played with them on the stairs, but our carpet is cream now so I'm worried in case they have any "accidents" on the stairs and it leaves a mark. So basically what I'm asking is what good ideas do people have for playing? Collecting cereal boxes etc to build a maze and they go in their exercise balls a couple of times a week but they can't run on the rug in my room so I have to take them in another room with laminate flooring whenever I can really. I feel they're getting bored of just running up and down my arm lol

Don't worry, their pee is cream too!

Marbles is like this too! When he's out the cage with me on my lap or exploring the room he doesn't pee or poop at all.
However, no sooner I place him in his ball he's like a never ending pooing machine, it just gets ridiculous how much he poops while he's in his ball.

Urgh yes! Charlie doesn't poop that often in his ball, but when he does - urgh - they come out through the slits in the ball as he is rolling around. Last night he was in the ball with his pouches full (I didn't realise he had pouched until he got in the ball) and I kept expecting him to spit it all out.

Lol Skeever! Yes I know I had to think about that too! In the end they went in the bathroom bin liner, tied it up and took it outside to main bin. Couldn't have hamster poops floating in the loo!

Re: Need help!
Butts leaves poop everywhere. I think she waits to get out in her ball just to poop all over my house. Her favourite place is just inside the front door so hamster poop is the first thing any potential unexpected guests get to see.
