Yes it is a Gabber, the smaller Gabber Lux. I had one for my Syrian Charlie a couple of years ago, and it is a good spacious cage. I possibly would say its maybe a bit small for a Syrian (although I didn't realise that years ago), but it is perfect for dwarfs. Go for it!

EDIT: Just realised, its 58cm, so it is OK for a Syrian as well, but I still prefer a bit bigger to accomodate Syrian sized toys.

I MIGHT get it encase a fight would break out with my 2 dwarfs, but I already have a Savic Cambridge as a spare cage. And its quite a long way to travel to get it its further than London, it would take me 5 hours to get there

I might wait for a Gabber Rex if my dwarfies get along in their ZZ1, but want to upgrade to a bigger cage

I'm a little unsure tho

Ive had many Gabber Luxes, and they are great cages. I have housed syrians in them, and never had any problems, they always have been very happy and content in their homes.

I'd agree that it's a good cage for Dwarfies - one of the things I like about this cage is that it has two wheel 'ports' so it's great for Robo's etc as they can have a wheel each without them taking up too much room.

Personally; I prefer more room than this cage offers though for any hamster but my sisters's two Robo's do seem quite happy in it.

I wouldn't use this for a Syrian as I really don't think it's long enough and there are plenty of roomier cages available for them that I feel are more suitable. :P

The lux is a great cage for one or two dwarfs. They love the platforms and ladders and nesting under them. We have kept a small syrian in one and she was very happy and content. In fact even when we had a free rex we did not move her as she was so obviously content in her lux. There is a review in the cage review section.

I still feel this - especially as once you put a Wodent Wheel in a Lux there really wouldn't be much room for other toys and length of a cage is really important to a Syrian.

I feel very strongly about space in cages though - so maybe my cages are bigger than many people would have them. It's a stark fact though that no matter how much free range our pets get they probably still spend about 22 hours in their cage and most of that time is spent when they are most active at night when we are asleep.

So I really feel that all animals should have the maximum amount of space that we can possibly offer them though it is also important that cages are 'well furnished' and make the most of the space - especially as hamsters are so very active.

Though everyone will make their own decisions of course and the Gabber Lux is about a million times better than the Ovo or the Spelos!
