Default need a cage quite urgently, recomendations..?

ok well my hamster (syrian), lives in one of those wilkinsons deluxe cages, the ones with the 2 pullout shelves.
however i managed to break one shelf, so i now have that gap in the cage where the shelf slid in.
i have taped it and its pressed against the wall so he cant get out, but i need a new cage.

hes not the most active of creatures, he comes out, chooses a wheel and runs on it then sleeps.
it needs a 9cmx9cm gap in the cage (like with no shelves/levels) so he can have his fave toy (space loft thing - igloo with tube and loft)

i was in pets at home today, but didn't really see anything brilliant, they did have a cage for£20 which i thought was quite decent, but it diddn't have a name or anything cos it was in the sale, but i wasnt keen on the shelving inside.

i want to spend as little as possible, no more than £30 preferably, i dont care what it looks like as long as its ok for a syrian.
i am happy to buy online, but really wouldnt know where to start / what to look for.

any ideas would be most appreciated.

thanks. xx

thought i'd post some things i've seen....
although i really have no idea whats ok, i knew the one he has now was ok cos i posted before i got him, but i dont know what makes a good hammy cage.

there is this one...
which i think is quite cute, hes got a savic rolly wheel which i would use instead of the one it comes with.

there is this one...
http://www.dabners.co.uk/product-3007-h ... 385cm.html

this is the one all the hamsters at my college are kept in.

i'm not too keen on the rotastak ones, and similar, i dont like all the fiddly tubes and pieces that clip on.

i reccomend the imac fantasy, my boys are in them and they are good. they are a bit more money but they are worth it. easy to clean out aswell! gets my vote!

I love my two Imac fantasys also, here they are at a very good price online and on budget pretty much for you (don't know about postage though) http://www.shanetodddirect.co.uk/IMAC-F ... AIWEU.aspx

I have one Harrisons cage and the quality is not nearly as good as the Imac. The fantasy is better in size, (far much more room) and quality than any of the others you are looking at in my opinion. You would need a bigger wheel 8" for any cage you buy.

Here is a review of the Mini Duna that you linked too viewtopic.php?f=30&t=4740 it says only for dwarfies as really too small for Syrians.

All of thr cages you've linked too ar far too small for a syrian IMO. You would be much better off looking for an Imac Fantasy, or a Savic Cambrigde.
