If you have/are getting a syrian then theire fine but the tubes may be to small and it could be dangerous but for a dwarf hamster or any other small hamster everything is fine.

even for dwarfs the habitrails are quite small singly, however if you join a few of them together apart from the tube trouble they should be fine

I can’t stand those cages. I think they are all poorly made and way to small. As mentioned the tubes are usually too small for a syrian. Maybe they would be "ok" for a dwarf hamster. But I feel that more room lengthwise is much better then height.

I hear allot of horror stories about rodents escaping from these types of cages. It seems to happen all the time! I think that some of the plastic tubes cages in the UK seem more well made, and generally larger then what’s in the US. But when I look at those cages I just think they seem way to small.

Id go with a large tank or a bin cage. I have all my rodents housed in bin cages.

Don't like 'em for the same reasons I don't like rotastak - size, gimmickyness, price, practicality. The only tube system I don't mind is the Ferplast Tube-line series - nice big clear tubes that come apart easily for cleaning, and are part of proper wire cages.

What cage do you have now?
