Hi, I have just paid £7 and a few pence for a sack of Megazorb (85 ltrs). Works out a lot cheaper than wood shavings. Toilet paper would be a good bedding but it would take a long time to shred it. I tried to shred kitchen towel roll and it clogged the cutters up and I had to remove the shredded bits with tweezers. It took about 30 mins to clear the cutters for only about 30 seconds of shredding. Fitch works out cheaper than wood shavings as well.

Hi. 2LittlePuds.
I see your from Lancashire. Fitch is in stalybridge and is £8 if you collect(obviously more if you want it delivered) for a huge 20kg bale. That will last you months and months in a 3ft tank.

Thats the one. I'm in Bury so not far from you. Takes me about 20/25minutes but is worth it for that price. I usually get a couple of bales at once. But i do have 7 hamsters

It is a large sack full. About the size of a sack of potatoes. It will last for ages. I have done 3 cages with it and I think it will last me months yet.
Here is where I got it from.

Thanks. Theres a £6.95 delivery charge on the megazorb though which nearly doubles the price. I dont even know which to go for between megazorb and fitch. Is there any other alternative that looks quite natural (like woodshavings) but at a reasonable price? Aspen seems to be quite pricey.

I like using Fitch and Megazorb, depending on which ofthem are available. I irder frm Amazon, but theycan work out more expensive due to delivery costs
