Just bought the Marchioro Kevin!
I am really crossing my fingers that the cage arrives in one piece! I have the Goran, but it took 3 purchases to get one good one that didn't have a broken base. I bought it for the smaller bar spacing. I think I would like a group of girly mice someday. Not now though. If it's being discontinued like it is rumored (and not listed on Machioro's website) I want to get it now while I still can. I could probably put Jerry in it!

I'll keep my fingers crossed that it arrives intact I also thoroughly approve of the idea of a group of female mice

Re: Just bought the Marchioro Kevin!
Thank you! Oh and I appreciate your approval. Haha I am just really falling in love with the smaller pets that can use smaller toys. I love my Syrians of course, but outfitting cages for smaller ones is so much easier! Not to mention fun to watch.

Re: Just bought the Marchioro Kevin!
We just found mice handy for using dwarf toys the dwarf hams didn't like Then we needed extras of said toys just for the mice lol
I hope you like the cage regardless of what ends up in it

Re: Just bought the Marchioro Kevin!
Yeah I can see that. I keep buying stuff for Syrians I think is big enough and turns out to be too small. Got a plastic castle hideout. Too big for the Syrians (even Oliver can barely turn around) and Jerry will fill it with pee and Poo and Beanie will use it to hunker down on top cause the top is removable but not easily.
I really wish we had access to a Zoozone! There is one here called the Tamburino, which I almost bought, but it's only 393sq in of floor space, whereas the Kevin is 640 sq in.

Re: Just bought the Marchioro Kevin!
Our biggest problem was that hybrids outgrew things and hybrids and robos didn't like things we thought they would
Its a shame you don't have zoozones, I've seen the tambourino mentioned on HC before though

Re: Just bought the Marchioro Kevin!
Hybrids outgrow stuff too? I thought they were pretty tiny. Yeah I love the look of the Tamburino. I know DrK has one and there is a cage review. I just wish it was bigger. I did recently write a few big companies that make cages here and plead with them to make bigger cages. I mentioned the RSPCA recommendations, lots of choices in the UK, and mentioned that a lot of people in the US use tanks and make bins to get enough space for Syrians in particular. Not holding my breath. lol But I tried!

Re: Just bought the Marchioro Kevin!
Yup, they outgrew a few toys for hamsters (turns out in those cases hamsters means robos, chinese and mice)
I hope you can get bigger cages in the US soon

Re: Just bought the Marchioro Kevin!
I really did not know that about the other dwarfs, that they can get too big, but then again, they do look like butterballs. lol
Teddy, I will definitely take pics when I put it to use! I have to agree about the best cage (bars-wise). I love the Goran. Still no clue if Beanie can escape the Goran. I held him near the bars but I know it's the size of their skull that matters, not the whole head. He hasn't tried that I know of. lol
