I think the Flying Saucers do tend to have a little rattle after a while compared to the Silent Spinner! x

Re: Silent spinner or Flying saucer?
Hi.
I have 3 silent spinners. 1 of which makes the loud jolting/banging sound. Ive tried vaseline on the screw bit, moving it about etc to no avail.
All my 6 also have flying saucers, all use them more than their wheels and if you put some vaseline on the spindle makes them even quieter! The only downside is if for a Syrian it takes up alot of space due to the size needed (12")
My personal favourite wheel which all my hammies love is the Wodent Wheel. Can be a pain to clean but worth it. Nice and quiet too. Infact ive got 2 junior sized (8") coming from transoniq the makers in america soon. Ordered from them direct as it works out the same price but so much more colour choice.

Re: Silent spinner or Flying saucer?
I am having to replace both of my saucers at the same time, because the weight of my Syrians are making the saucer hit the base feet. They also rattle a lot, but that doesn't bother me. I've only had them about a month. So in my opinion, for a Syrian, I'd go Silent Spinner. They are pretty quiet. That being said, I just ordered 2 Wodent Wheels, but have never tried them before.
Icklemunch, how did you order from them directly? I looked at there site but didn't see a way to do it.

Yeah it sounds like that from reviews. It never used to be this loud but its still good exercise for him

No experience with the silent spinner though. I sprung for a Wodent Wheel and it's completely silent

wow okay thats another option. If there's zero problems with the wodent wheel it'd be great

I have a robo who is weight less. He just does vigorous exercise which makes up for it! Wodent wheel sounds like a good choice

The wodent wheel is good, but I refuse to pay PetPlanets prices. The senior wodent wheel is £15 and the large syrian one is £20, these seem like good prices until you have to add £5 for delivery.
Does anybody know where you can get it cheaper? x

Oh, ok. People have told me their dwarfs don't have that issue on the saucers. But yeah, I've only seen positive things said about the Wodent Wheel.
