Hi Wendy

I recently got one from Zooplus and it was £59.99 with free postage. I am not sure if it is still on offer. I am really pleased with it.

Amazon are selling it with Navy blue base for £59.89 at the moment

Savic Hamster Heaven Navy Blue Hamster Cage, 80 x 50 x 50 cm: Amazon.co.uk: Pet Supplies

I got mine second hand on gumtree for £30 with loads of other hamster stuff too. I don't see them on gumtree the most often but I have seen a few since then.

I don't know if you are thinking about any other cages but I prefer the Barney to the hamster heaven. It's the same size but I didn't like the plastic levels in the hamster heaven and Fluffy didn't get on with them too well either. She had the hamster heaven as a play cage and lived in the Barney. She was too big for the tubes on the hamster heaven too - although she did manage to squeeze herself through them a couple of times when she was out to play.

Zooplus has the Barney cage is on offer at £49.90

Hiya, Zooplus had the Barney back in stock briefly on saturday night but I wasn't able to order it and it's now gone again so i'm not sure if this is a mistake. They have said today that they do not know when they will get more... I am going to buy an Alaska I think as I want to get my hamster into a bigger cage asap...

I should have checked the Barney was in stock when I was looking it up on Zooplus. Sorry about that. It's such a shame if they can't get more as it is such a great cage.

I have been dithering over the Barney/Alaska for so long now, I think they've made the decision for me!

There's not much between these two cages is there really and the Alaska is cheaper, is Zooplus the only place that sells them ?

I think its only Zooplus although they pop up occasionally on ebay, and i'm sure they will get some more in time... I was keen on it as Chewy is a bit of a bar chewer (turns out her name is well suited to her!) and the Barney has narrower bars... But she's in quite a small cage at the moment so I am hoping a much bigger cage might help things!
They are both great cages though - there are lots of excellent reviews of them on here
