Bin Cage Help ASAP
Hi, I am getting 2 Hamsters on Saturday.
I have got the bins, mesh, plastic cable ties. But I tried to use a hot stanley knife last night and it worked for a while and then it cracked. I dont have many tools and may have to just heat up nails and make holes in the top. I would still love to make the little windows so if any one has ANY ideas please tell me.
As I said my two russian dwarfs are coming on Saturday so get back ASAP! Thanks xx
PS. i have just realized the plastic is cheap and will crack easily so keep that in mind

If you've got a cheap wood-burning tool or soldering iron you don't mind wrecking, they'll stay hot long enough to allow you to melt right through and have nice clean lines. Just make sure you do it in a well ventilated area!

Re: Bin Cage Help ASAP
If you keep reheating the stanley knife it should work in the end. We just use a small saw for our bin cages though to be honest

Re: Bin Cage Help ASAP
Down the road you can take the tip from a soldering iron and grind it down to a thin blade which would be good for making straight lines.
