Default Bedding (paper based) in Nest/House

Hi,
For dwarf hamsters (probably hybrid campbell), do you put bedding inside the nest/house (I have a plastic house for them) or you leave it empty?
I do add toilet paper outside their nests and they use it (a lot); however, I don't know what they prefer: house with or without bedding (BOXO - paper based).

Thanks,
Janiv/

I have found, with every rodent I have had the pleasure to know, that they will put their stuff where they want it! No amount of arranging their spaces to please my own tastes has ever held any truck with them. I've learned to just accept where they put things. Which is to say, go ahead and put the bedding inside their house. If they don't want it there they will either move it or find somewhere else to sleep! Let them tell you what they like and don't feel bad if they disagree with you

LOL! Braingirl is absolutely right! My dwarfs have tossed their bedding all over the place and just bury themselves as far under the substrate (Boxo) as they can. So there's toilet paper all over the place . I've decided not to put it in anymore and just leave them with the Boxo. It is very much up to the individual hammy. No way can I figure out what they'll do LOL.

I usually put some in the house. If hammy likes it, fine. If not he'll let you know.

Thanks, most of you put some bedding within their houses.
What about the toilet room? What do you put inside?

Thanks again,
J.
